Carsten Maschmeyer became a billionaire as a financial consultant with the New Economy and now has an estimated fortune of 1.2 billion euros. At the age of 24, he used a severance payment of 900,000 euros to build up his investment consultancy AWT. This enabled him to create a successful “self-made” career.
