O.J. Simpson had nowhere to hide this time. That’s because a jury unanimously found him responsible for all charges and awarded $33.5 million in damages to the victims’ families in just a few weeks. However, there was a new problem: Simpson’s money account was insufficient to cover the losses. Although Ron Goldman’s family was unable to obtain Simpson’s $28,000-per-month NFL pension, they did receive $500,000. This came after Simpson was forced to auction off a number of his sporting memorabilia, including his Heisman Trophy. The former athlete eventually defaulted on his mortgage and relocated to Miami to avoid paying the remaining balance.

Still, one of the more surprising aspects of it all is that Tanya supposedly has a semi-close relationship with Simpson. This is not because she is prepared to forgive the athlete or accept that he is not guilty. Instead, it’s said to be to ease her bond with her children, who have already suffered greatly.
