Nicole Brown’s parents were not going to give up their struggle against O.J. Simpson just because he had been granted full custody of the children. They, like many others around the world, believed the former NFL star was responsible for their daughter’s death and that Sydney and Justin were in danger with their father. Unfortunately for Nicole’s parents, they were not successful. After losing their mother and seeing their father’s public trial, the siblings attempted to reconstruct their lives. Furthermore, they realized they would always have to deal with charges that O.J. was guilty. The fact that Sydney and Justin were able to see their grandparents was a saving grace.

Ron Goldman’s family immediately filed a civil case against O.J. Simpson
Many people have argued throughout the years that O.J. Simpson was only declared not guilty because he had the money to hire a top legal team. But everything came crumbling down in 1997. Simpson was back in court in October 1996 when Ron Goldman’s family launched a civil complaint against him. They claimed that Simpson was responsible for Nicole Brown’s and Ron Goldman’s deaths, as well as improper physical contact with the duo. This time, the judge prohibited all cameras, photographers, sketch artists, and radios from entering the courtroom during the trial, which ended on January 16, 1997, after three months of deliberation.
