Mary had already become very pregnant and had no desire to go a flight of stairs to a frightening, dark room. But she consented since she wanted her husband to complete his man cave. Mary spent about 30 minutes in the cellar, and when she emerged, she was furious. She was puzzled by her husband’s behavior because she hadn’t heard anything and didn’t know why.

Mary checked but heard nothing, so Jeff felt he had to finish what he had started. He returned to the basement and recommenced work. But Jeff continued hearing the sound whenever he was down there. At least once a day, the sound would occur, and some days the buzzing would continue. Despite Jeff’s best efforts, he eventually had enough.
