The following morning, when it was time to walk down to the basement, Jeff had to persuade himself that there were no ghosts there. The continuous sounds from the previous day certainly had Jeff on edge, and his thoughts about paranormal creatures weren’t helping the situation. Jeff wasn’t typically this frightened out by anything.

Buzzing
Jeff’s ears were assaulted by the noise as soon as he entered the basement. His spine tingled as he considered what might be causing it. However, Jeff repressed the ideas and told himself there had to be a logical justification for what was happening. But there was nothing reasonable about the buzzing that never stopped.
