Lily realized she needed to get her father to safety. She dashed to him, keeping a tight eye on the danger. She yanked on his arm, attempting to draw him away, but he was too heavy. If only Lily’s mum was present. Lily cried for aid, hoping that one of their neighbors would hear her, but nothing happened.

Lily’s only thought was to save her father. She was no longer concerned about the perilous situation. She seized both of his hands and pulled again. She could see movement in her father’s body this time. She pulled one more time and managed to get her father onto the grass.
