“Daddy, look out!” she cried. John’s heartbeat quickened. He had no idea what his daughter was directing his attention to. He peered down at the ground but couldn’t see much due to the filthy water. “Daddy, Daddy, I’m right behind you!” Lily screamed once more. She gestured wildly at the ground. “What, where?!” John responded.

Lily yelled at her father to be careful. She closed her eyes, scared to see what she expected to happen. John could sense the terror in his daughter’s voice and realized he had to take her seriously. It was complete mayhem, and no one was around to assist them.
