St. Nicholas
In the fourth century, St. Nikolaos of Myra was a Christian saint. He was a Turkish bishop who was also known as St. Nicholas and was recognized for his generosity and caring temperament. He’d put gifts in the shoes of children who were abandoned outside the house. It was the start of a new tradition! Isn’t it astonishing that he actually existed?
What St. Nicholas Really Looked Like
Santa Claus has become his new name. He, on the other hand, bears no resemblance to the Santa Claus that we know and love. Because he was Turkish, he was most likely darker and more Middle Eastern than the photographs depict. Westerners frequently mistake historical figures for themselves. Obviously, this isn’t the case.
