A Difficult Time
His mind was wracked with a multitude of issues. He reflected on his wife and all of his children. During the time that they were all living under the same roof, life was a lot less complicated. Indeed, he never imagined that he would live to see this day, but here it was. It appeared as though he had lost everything, and he had no reason to continue living at that point at all. As soon as he carried out this plan, he didn’t give any thought to the consequences that would follow.

Pat left the restaurant and spotted the waitress eyeing him through the front window as he went out of the establishment. She was ensuring that he did not engage in any behavior that may be considered suspicious. On the other hand, that was precisely what the elderly guy intended to accomplish. With a grin on his face, he made his way over to his trunk and opened it. The veteran made it a habit to always keep the item in his trunk in case of unexpected circumstances such as this one.
