The picture would not have been the same without an all-American lead actor. Casper Van Dien was a perfect option for the role of Johnny Rico, with his excellent looks, captivating charisma, and “good old boy” manner. The actor did a fantastic job playing the Arachnid Slayer as a dedicated and focused soldier recognized for his courage and fidelity. He also added a lot of depth, passion, and comedy to the role. His appearance in the critically criticized third installment of the Starship Troopers franchise is no exception. Even though the audience adored the actor in the film, his acting career did not take off as expected. He got the chance to feature in Tarzan and the Lost City, but the movie bombed at the box office. After struggling to get back into the swing of things, he eventually got a meaningful role. He was cast as Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat: Legacy’s second season! Like Casper, the character continuously seeks ways to prove himself and earn a second chance at fame.
