Neil Young
Name: W.N. Ragland
Value: $200 million*
Neil Young, the singer, sailed the W.N. Ragland for almost 30 years. Neil Young has written many songs about the boat, which is 101 years old. The W. N. Ragland was built in 1913. Its objective was to transport granite over the turbulent Baltic Seas. When it was erected, there was no Sea Tow to assist you in rough weather. The 77-foot-long vessel weighted 280,000 pounds, more than twice the displacement of similar-sized yachts. Young painstakingly renovated W.N. Ragland, lavishing it with attention and care and renaming it after his grandfather. Yachting Magazine referred to the Ragland as “husky” and “rugged.”
Eva Longoria
Name: VIP One
Value: $36,000/week*
Eva Longoria welcomed the actors of her show, Grand Hotel, to a superyacht, making her one of the coolest bosses ever. Longoria was sighted off the coast of Miami on the superyacht with the crew, who appeared surprised to be there. Longoria is most recognized for her part in the dark comedy/drama hybrid Desperate Housewives, which follows the lives of four women and their families on Wisteria Lane as mishaps occur in the not-so-quiet suburbs. Lincoln Younes, an actor, described the yacht as “ridiculous” (in a positive sense). VIP One, the yacht in question, was built in 2000 and was just refitted in 2019 before Longoria sent the crew on a mini-vacation. The 82″ motor boat can accommodate seven passengers in three staterooms. Overmarine, an Italian business, designed VIP One.
