Google Earth exposed a 30-year-old Iranian secret that even locals were unaware of in 2001. Someone had apparently installed tiles on the top of Iran’s Tehran International Airport three decades earlier. That individual created the Star of David. Perhaps much more perplexing is the fact that no one appears to know who did it. The sign remained unknown until Google Earth shared it with the rest of the world. Soon after its discovery, the Iranian authorities had it totally removed.
