The Queen’s Personal Flag
Owned Since: 1960
Valued At: Undisclosed
Although England has a very distinctive flag, Queen Elizabeth II wanted something of her own that represented her, not the entire nation, on the whole. In 1960, she charged the College of Arms with creating something exceptional. The result was a blue navy flag topped with a crown and surrounded by a gold E circle of flowers. It was first used for an important visit to India the following year and has since been used in her residences to indicate that she is home instead of the Royal Standard.
