More cracks
Cracks began to appear in the eggs, which only added to the family’s tension. Jack knew that the hatching process was taking its time, but he also knew that they were not chicken eggs. They were something unknown to him. Who could tell? Baby dragons might hatch from these eggs, spitting little spurts of fire from their mouths and fluttering around with scaly wings. Considering the circumstances on the farm, this wasn’t exactly the most impossible thing in the world.

The hatching phase
After the first crack, the hatching process took a very long time and the family waited patiently for several hours until a hatch actually occurred. When the creature emerged, the girls were almost in tears. However, this tense state quickly changed as they watched what emerged from their precious eggs – the result of their painstaking work. A tiny yellow beak emerged from the crack, struggling bravely to see the sunlight.
