Some good news
Bonnie stated, “Not all the chickens are gone.” “They ran away and hid from…. whatever that was. They crawled under the porch of the house. About 80% survived.” Jack was a little relieved. He hadn’t realized that some of the chickens survived. As he looked at the cornfield of eggs, he wondered if his choice had been the right one. All in all, the situation seemed unpredictable and dangerous.

Bonnie pulls out
Jack and Bonnie returned with the tarps and began laying them over the eggs before they could settle their differences. Jack helped them secure the corners with rocks. Bonnie had her hands thrown back and returned to the house. Jack and his daughters had decided to go for it, and Bonnie lost the battle.
