Tea and Plans
One afternoon, Margaret invited me to tea with her. ‘I need to know what’s going on, Lisa,’ she insisted, resolve etched in her voice. We had a couple surprises in store for her, which she had no idea about.

‘Margaret, there is guidance involved here,’ I started, still keeping our ultimate aim a secret. She lifted an eyebrow, obviously curious but wary. ‘Guidance?’ she repeated. I nodded, hoping to alleviate her concerns. ‘Yes, and you’ll see the whole scene soon enough,’ I said. The surprise was close, but keeping her guessing a little longer was critical. It was all about time, and she would soon realize why we did things this way.
