Billy Wirth Played Dwayne
Joel Schumacher knew that the strong, brooding Dwayne had to be played by someone who had just enough sex appeal. Luckily, the former model Billy Wirth had a lot of that. The filmmaker told Empire in 2020, “I thought, ‘I’m gonna put [Wirth] in a motorcycle jacket with no shirt on, and he is gonna be a fabulous Lost Boy.’” Dwayne is the second vampire that appears in the film.

More Than Eye Candy
However, Wirth proved to be more than eye candy. After the run of The Lost Boys in cinemas, the Brown University alum became a jack of all trades. Aside from acting, he went into filmmaking, made music, and became an artist. He was even on American Gladiators back in 1989. He also appeared on several popular TV series, including Sex and the City, CSI, and Charmed.
