Corey Haim Played Sam Emerson
Corey Haim may have just been a teenager during that time, but he already had had several acting credits under his belt before he even auditioned for The Lost Boys. It seemed to like landing the part of Sam Emerson was a sure thing. According to Haim, the director Schumacher called the actor by his character’s name during their first meeting. That is truly a lucky break!
The Two Coreys
While filming The Lost Boys, Haim and Corey Feldman met, and the teen heartthrobs, who were affectionately called “the two Coreys” – became good friends and had a successful screen partnership. “Whether it be coincidence or some master plan from the studio system, we ended up doing three films back to back,” Feldman told PR.com in 2008. The other two movies are License to Drive (1988) and Dream a Little Dream (1989).
