It was a good thing that he has managed to recover from them all! In 1983, he herniated spinal disc while he was riding elephants for Temple of Doom. Only a couple of years before that, he broke his ankle while shooting The Force Awakens because of a door that crushed him. In order to get emergency surgery, the actor had to be airlifted to an Oxford hospital from Buckinghamshire. He ended up suing the studio and winning.

Indiana Jones was a hugely successful franchise and spawned three films back in the ‘80s. In 1989, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade came out. It followed the titular character and even featured his father, who was brought to life by Sean Connery. In the beginning, Ford did not like the idea of having him play the dad since Connery is only 12 years his senior. Despite this, they had such great chemistry together that people loved their performance. Not only that, but Sean Connery got a nomination for a BAFTA award and a Golden Globe for this performance as well!
