Everything was going well for the first three weeks, but that rapidly changed. Since Jeff found out his wife Mary was pregnant, he’s been working on transforming his basement into a man cave or, as he termed it, a “office space.” He had a lot of thoughts when he heard the noises, but he never anticipated to find what he did.

A Strange Sound
Jeff once heard an odd sound echoing through the empty basement while he was removing the old tiles. He put down what he was doing to listen, supposing he was hallucinating. There was silence for a split second. Jeff was about to resume chipping tiles when he heard the noise once more.
