A Badger
All kinds of plumbing mishaps and stories can happen anywhere. In Scotland, a couple of plumbers came across a badger inside the sewer line during a routine drain cleaning. Thankfully, the animal was fine and recovered nicely after it was rescued. As we’ve mentioned, a lot of other live animals have been found in the drains and sewers all over the world. However, that’s not all. There are even more animals who’ve been found in odd places.

Newborn Baby
In Australia, a newborn baby survived in a storm drain on its own for five whole days. The seven-day-old boy was found at the bottom of a 9-foot pipe that was covered with a 440-pound concrete slab. In fact, he was still wrapped in his hospital blanket! Considering that the temperatures were over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at the time, his survival was nothing short of a miracle. A man discovered the baby after he heard odd noises from the storm drain and called the police.
