Cows
While it’s normal for animals to be found in sewers and drains, cows might be the last on the list of ones we’d expect. In China, a cow was found in a sewer after its owner spent no less than four days looking for it. The only reason it was found at all was that the owner heard a strange noise from under the village. When the manhole cover was lifted, the missing cow poked its head up. Of course, it was rescued right after that. No one knows how it ended up there in the first place.
Graffiti Art
Under the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil, there is an entire network of sewers and subterranean water networks. A lot of people aren’t aware of the fact that there is a whole collection of abstract graffiti art done by a local street artist named Zezão. He had been going through a dark time in the early ’90s, so he took to the underground and started painting. It became his own therapy. His art reflected the place he worked and represented a water source.
