Here is another case of actors swapping roles as brothers. Did you know that Paul Wesley first tried out for the role of Damon? Ian Somerhalder ended up getting that part, however. We are glad that Wesley did not give up and tried out for the role of Stefan instead. It is not a secret that this turned out to be the right thing to do. They both did a great job of bringing their characters to life on the show.

Jon Favreau – Friends
Isn’t it amazing to think that Chandler from Friends could have been played by someone else? Jon Favreau tried out for this role before it was handed to Matthew Perry. The producers thought that he was the best man for the job. Despite this, they wanted Favreau to be involved n the project. This is why they gave him the role of Pete Becker, who was Monica’s love interest in “The Ultimate Fighting Championship.” Luckily, he has seen much success despite not landing the original role.
