Isn’t it shocking to hear that Amanda Seyfriend wanted to play Regina George? In the end, Rachel McAdams earned the part. This does not mean that Seyfried did not come close, however. According to director Michael Waters, she had been great at the audition. “She played it in a much more ethereal, but still kind of scary way. She was more frightening, but oddly, less intimidating,” he went on. In the end, he decided that it would be best to give her the role of Karen Smith.

Isaiah Washington – Grey’s Anatomy
Before the start of the TV show, Isaiah Washington wanted to bring Derek Shepherd to life. Patrick Dempsey edged him out for the role. Despite this, Shonda Rhimes liked the actor so much that she asked him to step in for Preston Burke’s role after the original actor dropped out of the project. Sadly, the character was written out after Washington had certain incidents with T.R. Knight and Patrick Dempsey on the show’s set. Oh well.
