James Franco – Spider-Man
In the first Spider-Man trilogy, we got to see James Franco in the role of Harry Osborn. His character is Mary Jane’s boyfriend, the son of Norman Osborn, and the best friend of Peter Parker himself. Sadly, he turns into a villain in the third movie in the series as Green Goblin. The actor did justice to the role, but he initially hoped to play the titular superhero himself! He had been in the running for the role, although the executives ultimately cast Tobey McGuire instead. We are just glad that they did not overlook his talents and simply gave him a different role.
Tom Hiddleston – MCU
You must know that tom Hiddleston is responsible for bringing Loki to life. However, he did not plan to be a villain in the Marvel cinematic universe. He actually auditioned to play Thor instead! When he spoke to Jimmy Fallon, the actor revealed that he wanted to be the superhero. “I think we can all agree. They cast the right actor,” he said. If you ask us, he had been the perfect guy to play the trickster god. Things would have been so different if he got the role of his fictional brother instead.
