Do you remember Cato in the Hunger Games? This character was a District 2 tribute raised to compete. Alexander Ludwig played this bloodthirsty villain. With his athletic prowess, he was the perfect person for the job at hand. However, the actor originally wanted to portray Peeta Mellark in the franchise! Looking back on this, he said, “It’s fun playing the bad guy once in a while. I got to really experiment with a side of me that I’ve never seen before.”

Eddie Redmayne – Fantastic Beasts
We find it difficult to imagine a different actor in the role of Newt Scamander. Things could have gone very differently if Eddie Redmayne got what he originally wanted. He tried out for Tom Riddle’s role, which is basically Lord Voldemort as a teenager in the original series’s second installment. In 2016, the actor shared, “I properly failed and didn’t get a callback.” He then added that he remained hopeful that he could play one of the Weasleys. In the end, he got to appear in the Harry Potter universe in a different capacity altogether. We are sure that he is thankful for this amazing opportunity!
