The Shining Carpet
Have you ever noticed the carpet in Sid’s house in Toy Story? This is due to the fact that it is the case. For some reason, the carpet is one of several The Shining references in the Toy Story franchise. The carpet looks just like the one in the eerie hotel where The Shining is set. Room 237 is written on a waste truck registration plate, and there are also tributes to Tony (the man who resided in Danny’s mouth).

Nick’s Criminal Past
Nick is a sly but endearing fox who finds out to have a golden heart in Zootopia. However, at the start of the movie, he makes some highly questionable decisions. You probably missed a nice little joke regarding Nick’s problematic professional history prior to applying to the Zootopia Police Department in one short sequence. When you zoom in on the application, Nick first checks “yes” for the question “have you ever been arrested.” He then crossed it out and wrote “no” in its place.
