Here Are Some Of The Most Fascinating Disney Photos You Should See Up Close

Published on 07/15/2021

Disney movies aren’t your ordinary animated films. Each film is worked on for years by dedicated teams of animators, writers, and directors to guarantee that the end product is a high-quality animated adventure. The majority of the details in these flicks have been meticulously placed in order to improve the plot. Smart Disney fans, on the other hand, will recognize that each film contains more than meets the eye. Here are some of the best Easter eggs, cameos, and jokes hidden in plain sight in Disney films.

Scar’s Claws Are Always Out

We never noticed this minor distinction as children, but we can now recognize it. When you watch The Lion King again in the future, you won’t be able to ignore it. Almost every lion in the movie keeps his claws retracted. They only extend them when it is absolutely essential. Scar, the snarky adversary whom you can’t help but love and despise at the same time, is the single exception. As the malevolent, plotting character that he is, his black, razor-sharp claws are always out.

Hans Is A Wanted Man

Even if it may appear so at first, the outcomes of Disney films are utterly unpredictable. Take, for example, Hans, the rude, conceited prince from the Disney film Frozen. At the conclusion of the film, he was apprehended and deported back to his homeland, but we don’t know what happened after that. A little element in one of Big Hero 6’s scenes, though, gives us a clue. A wanted poster with a picture of Hans hangs in the police station. As a result, he’s still clearly a bad guy.

Maui’s Hook Is Always With Him

Maui, Moana’s deuteragonist, is a cocky demigod who (grudgingly) aids Moana on her quest. One of his many fascinating features is the ability to shape-shift using his magical hook. Where does the hook go when Maui isn’t in his original form? Many believed there was a plot hole here. Instead of ignoring the problem, Disney came up with a brilliant solution. When Maui shape-shifts, the hook appears as markings on whichever body he is in. It’s very ingenious!

Tangled’s Nod To Previous Princesses

Disney films have begun to pay respect to the Disney family’s previous classics in recent decades. Easter eggs are little artifacts or images in the backdrop of sequences that pay homage to another film, as they’re called among fans. Rapunzel’s bedroom in Tangled, for example, contains references to other Disney princesses. These are but a few instances. The dresser is from Beauty And The Beast, and the spindle is a tribute to Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.

Pixar’s Phone Number On The Control Panel

There are a lot of interesting touches in the 2001 film Monsters, Inc., but you could have missed this one. Despite the fact that it’s only visible for a fraction of a second, a few devoted fans took the time to pause and zoom in. The number on the fright simulator’s control panel isn’t just a random number. The actual phone number for Pixar’s animation studios is 510-752-3000. That’s what the phone number used to be, at least. Of course, in the nearly two decades since then, things may have altered.

The Inspiration Behind The Toy Soldiers Walking

Although this isn’t a hidden detail in the film, it’s nonetheless a cool visual that’s hard to overlook. The creative team behind Toy Story had to figure out how to get the army troops to move and run despite the boards beneath their feet. As a result, the animators were able to walk around by taping their shoes to a wooden board. Let’s discuss method acting animators!

Tiny, Cool Detail In Brave

In Brave, Merida’s bow and arrow skills are legendary, and in this scene, she’s competing in an archery competition. The feather lands on her cheek since she’s so intent on reaching the target with the arrow. The arrow leaves a little scratch when she releases it. No one would have noticed this minor feature if the animators hadn’t included it. However, it is dedication like this, as well as a quest for perfection, that propels Disney pictures to new heights.

A Hidden Thank You Letter

This is a touching Easter egg that has nothing to do with prior Disney movies. In the iconic scene where Lilo and her big sister go to the shelter to adopt a dog, for example, we see the adoption paperwork in one frame (and end up with Stitch instead). There isn’t only nonsense written on it. It’s a heartfelt thank you note to everyone who helped make the movie possible. Because it was written by the filmmakers and producers, everyone was taken aback.

The Ice In Olaf’s Glass

When Olaf, Frozen’s cute snowman sidekick, sings his solo In Summer, it becomes an instant classic. During the musical number, he daydreams of going on a summer vacation (despite the fact that he doesn’t appear to comprehend he would melt in a tropical climate). In one of his fantasy holiday scenarios, he’s laying on the beach, sipping a chilled drink with ice cubes. You’ll see that the ice cubes are in the shape of a mini-Olaf if you look attentively.

The Shining Carpet

Have you ever noticed the carpet in Sid’s house in Toy Story? This is due to the fact that it is the case. For some reason, the carpet is one of several The Shining references in the Toy Story franchise. The carpet looks just like the one in the eerie hotel where The Shining is set. Room 237 is written on a waste truck registration plate, and there are also tributes to Tony (the man who resided in Danny’s mouth).

Nick’s Criminal Past

Nick is a sly but endearing fox who finds out to have a golden heart in Zootopia. However, at the start of the movie, he makes some highly questionable decisions. You probably missed a nice little joke regarding Nick’s problematic professional history prior to applying to the Zootopia Police Department in one short sequence. When you zoom in on the application, Nick first checks “yes” for the question “have you ever been arrested.” He then crossed it out and wrote “no” in its place.

Well Hidden Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse is another character who appears practically every time a new Disney film is released. It’s nearly tough to catch Mickey since he needs to go to tremendous efforts to keep them from spotting him. In this scene from Aladdin, Rajah, the tiger, gets turned back into her native tiger form. Her head also resembles Mickey Mouse for a brief second, which is practically impossible to detect without pausing (just with tiger colors).

A Visit From Our Favorite Tea Set

Tarzan makes an unmistakable Beauty And The Beast connection. Jane doesn’t bring just any old tea set to the forest. Mrs. Potts, Chip, and the rest of the Potts family from Beauty And The Beast can all be seen clearly. When the jungle animals come to find the English explorers’ encampment with all these exotic goods, one of the rare in-movie songs begins. In addition, the tea set from Beauty and the Beast is turned into a drum set.

The Most Famous Genie Lamp

Frozen was the 1990s’ Aladdin, and Frozen was the 2010s’ Frozen. In other words, it was the most well-known and famous Disney film of the decade. Nearly every Genie line was memorized by anyone born in the 1980s or 1990s. Sadly, this classic deserved more than a mention in Moana, but it was so brief that it was easy to forget. When they’re staring at all the gold in Tamatoa’s lair, the Genie’s Lamp is just around the corner.

Scar Got What He Deserved

Frozen was the 1990s’ Aladdin. To put it another way, it was the most well-known and recognizable Disney movie of the decade. Every Genie line was memorized by anyone born in the 1980s or 1990s. Sadly, this gem was more than deserving of a mention in Moana, but because it was so quick, it was easy to overlook. When they’re staring at all of the gold in Tamatoa’s cave, the Genie’s Lamp is right there in the corner.

The Beast In Aladdin

The lovely, childlike Sultan of Aladdin likes to play with toys, and he has a collection that we can see a few times throughout the film. We can view them only once, however, closely and personally. And as soon as we do, he’s there! The beast of beauty and the beast sits between camels, giraffes, rhinos, and other creatures of unusual origin. This homage is quite meaningful since one year after Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin was published.

A Visit From The Aladdin Rug

Released in 2009, The Princess And The Frog was a real comeback to Disney because the studio has for the first time been using classical 2D animation since all Disney’s legendary 90s blockbusters. As amazing as new films, many fans prefer old aesthetics like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Of course, in The Princess And The Frog, this was acknowledged in the animation style and also in the mystical Aladdin tapestry.

Anna And Elsa In Zootopia

Frozen, Disney’s best-known 2000’s movie, has already positioned itself next to The Lion King as an emblematic classic. In future Disney movies, therefore, we may definitely expect many references. Actually, a lot of them were already present. In Zootopia 2016, there is a scene in which we see a fish market. Two small elephants walk out between the other animals and are dressed like Elsa and Anna after closer inspection.

Adjusting To International Audiences

How complicated Disney films are produced is easy to miss. The films are sold throughout the world, although made in America and in English. Moreover, the Japanese, Norwegian and Italian children do neither speak nor understand English. Changes to Disney’s international editions are easier due to all the adjustments needed. It is in Toy Story 2, for instance, when the American flag has been transformed into a globe.

Flounder Making A Cameo

Hey, this fish is known to us! Not Nemo, but Little Mermaid’s Flounder, a far older and beloved figure from the species. The Little Siren in Moana was expected to be mentioned by most Disney fans. Both movies include an ocean motif and a powerful female lead, making them cousins of the Disney blockbuster. But this little gesture was easy to miss since it was so faint. It happens while Maui sings, and a fish school passes, one of them being the lovely Flounder.

Cinderella Feels Trapped

Most Disney movies include many symbols and topics above most children’s understanding. This is why these flicks are so amazing, however. The several levels of a film are enjoyed by children, adults, and film students. The scenario is really gloomy and dark and can be seen by anyone of any age. However, as children, we were not aware of the cage-like shade of the big window. It’s a sense of being trapped by Cinderella.

Why Gaston Didn’t Use His Gun

The makers of Disney are known for their rigorous attention to detail and strive to keep to the facts as closely as possible. This might appear unusual because of the number of Disney films where maquillaje, magical creatures populated environments. But it helps to make the stories credible. Take the scene below. Why is Gaston going to employ an arch in this fight if it is called the best shot, continually armed? It rained, to be honest. Do not combine the pumpkin and the water.

Mickey Mouse In The Food

This is another challenging node in a modern Disney movie by Mickey Mouse. In The Emperor’s New Groove 2000, a visually amazing screen portrays youngsters and their meals. But the meal is a little weird in those bowls… Closely inspected, there are three black dots which are three bigger and might represent a nose. Their shape is quite simplified. Is it a casualty? We doubt that. We doubt it.

Taking A Jab At Six Flags

Disney and Six Flags are long bitter competitors in the world of amusement parks. It is therefore only normal for Disney, through her films, to make fun of its competitors, as they know it best. In this scene of Beauty and the Beast, Maurice gets lost in the forest and uncovers the signals. A sign pointing to a bright route indicates Anaheim, a real Disneyland place. But Valencia, a Six Flags attraction, reads a sign pointing down a dark, terrifying road.

A Gargoyle That Looks Like Pumbaa

Most likely the Disney characters of all time, Timon and Pumbaa, The Lion King’s charming meerkat, and the warthog duo. At the height of the frenzy of the Lion King, these two franchises could be seen throughout the area. In other Disney films, you also make cameo appearances. For example, in the film The Hunchback of Our Lady, one of these sports a tail, like The Lion King Pumbaa, when the cathedral’s gargoyles appear.

Blink And You’ll Miss It

In the background of Wreck-It Ralph, there’s a scenario in which a board is shown. The table has numerous sheets of paper and some notes. Then there’s one, eventually, on it with a kiss of lipstick. This would be believed by the large majority of the viewers of Wreck-It Ralph. But to the unfamiliar Disney short Paperman, it’s a subtle node. It was a man in search of a woman who had kissed a paper. Someone should inform the person we found out.

More Toy Story 4 Easter Eggs

There’s a lot of Easter eggs in Toy Story, but Toy Story 4 takes the cake in 2019. Perhaps since so much Disney had been published during the last two decades, the animators could not help themselves. Two examples of what I’m talking about are here. The grape soda bottle cover is shown in the film “Up” has been recovered, and the guitar designs of the Pixar film “Coco” may be seen at the carnival. This is quite subtle. It’s quite subtle. But we still had sufficient clarity to catch it.

Lion King WWII Reference

Disney movies are aimed at children and take place mostly in composed worlds, so tragic events from the real world rarely occur in the comics. However, this is, of course, how we all like it. Disney films should make us laugh and feel good, after all. A subtle allusion to contemporary events can be found, though, occasionally. Scar gives a lecture to his hyena warriors, as illustrated by The Lion King. There are many connections between the pictures around him and Nazi Germany that existed in WW2.

Lilo Is A Mulan Fan

Lilo & Stitch, which debuted in 2002, might nearly be regarded as an anticipator of the future Frozen and Moana big blockbusters. Lilo is a fervent young woman with a strong will, differing from Disney’s conventional ‘princess’ movies in the 1980s and 1990s. The distressed woman had worn her welcome, and audiences sought nuanced and amusing women’s leads. The film surely incorporates multiple Mulan references to another powerful woman, Disney, as a node to that front.

Changed Pizza Toppings

Kids are extremely select eaters but their favorites differ widely from one country to another and from another. From an American perspective, Broccoli is not a favorite vegetable in youngsters. From an American perspective. This is the topping of pizza used inside out to make the pizza seem awful. On the other hand, Broccoli looks to be Japanese children’s favorite. Instead, for the Japanese version, bell peppers were chosen. This is humorous for us, as pizza glove peppers are popular among kids.

Mother Gothel Is Always Touching Rapunzel’s Hair

Mother Gothel Tangled is bad from the beginning which is evident for the spectator uncomfortably. Sadly, Rapunzel, sweet but innocent, doesn’t notice the red flags as fast. One smart technique for Mother Gothel to show us that she doesn’t make a damn of her “daughter” is to always touch her blonde hair when she says “I love you the most.” So basically, she acknowledges she loves the magical hair of Rapunzel much more than Rapunzel likes her.

Aunt Cass On The Screen

Wreck-It Ralph is the ideal series for snacking some extremely smart easter eggs as it’s current. Video games, TV shows, and even other Disney movies are referenced many times, and this is one of our favorites. If Ralph is given a tablet with publicity, you may simply say that the model is a recognizable face on your screen. Big Hero 6’s Aunt Cass has arrived! Build Your Own Olaf

We don’t know when, but Olaf is one of our favorite Disney characters… either in the first or the second Frozen film, at some point. His writing is always smart and entertaining, so we can only admire him. Sometimes we just wish we could construct and hang out with our own Olaf. It turns out, as Olaf’s bits are spread throughout Moana, we are not the first ones to consider. Snow is the only thing they lack! But, sadly, it can be hard to get…

A Portrait Of An Alien

Big Hero 6 has never been acknowledged critically, and we’re a little upset about it. However, it’s a fantastic film with fascinating characters and shows that many other Disney films lack attention to detail. Take a random screenshot, for example. The writers of the film chose to have a little fun and take a photo of the favorite extraterrestrial in everybody instead of merely placing random footage in the background. As a result, nobody but Stitch has a backdrop picture!

We Can’t Lie About This One

In 2013, Frozen brought Elsa into the world and made practically every Disney princess out of date. But there was a short period when the movie Tangled, just like Frozen did later, threatened to take the globe by storm. Although not as famous as Frozen, Tangled remains a beautiful film we love to visit. Take a look the next time you see Pinocchio in this scenario. He’s difficult to see, but he’s close to the top of this shot’s top.

An Ode To An All-Time Classic Movie In Meet The Robinsons

Meet the Robinsons is a Disney movie that has been largely forgotten over time, but we like it took time for some of our favorite Disney classics to be honored. Look at a great illustration in this setting. There are some posters in the background during this Little League game. You can notice that it is a commercial for the legendary animated film Jungle Book, one of the best animated films ever made when you stop for just one second.

The Little Chicken King

That’s, to say the least, a fantastic scene. Isn’t it incredible how you glance into a foreign grassland full of wonderful animals? There are already visible lions, tigers, and… chickens. Wait, you tell us that it’s from the opening sequence of Chicken Little, not the Lion King? The aim behind the Chicken Little picture was the same emotional reaction as the Lion King’s introduction and it works absolutely. It’s really fun to think Chicken Little might do this.

Look, We Found Nemo!

Why did a whole movie take Nemo to track? After looking at this snapshot, we found him in about three seconds… Even the Finding Nemo film isn’t this picture. This is Brother Bear’s screenshot. A few fish come out of the water when the bears are looking for a delicious lunch. To notice this, you must use the pause button quickly, although Nemo truly saves in less than a second from the water. Actually, for one frame only he’s visible.

Lilo’s Favorite Stuffed Animal

Lilo and Stitch was a distinctive Disney movie because it introduced us to diverse characters. Obviously, Stitch didn’t meet the expectations of most individuals at Disney, and it was no exception to Lilo. The bulk of women in the movie are women. Disney films are renowned to be subservient, yet Lilo, despite her early age, is a feisty figure. At the end of the day, though, she is still a child. You might not think of her, but she does, including Dumbo, as someone who collects stuffed animals.

Jose Sitting In The Jury

Keep your heads on, and prepare your Wikipedia for it. One of the most important cartoons ever made was the original Alice in the Wonderland movie of the 1950s. It was thoughtful and bizarre, and many people realized that animation was an art form worthy of attention. On the other hand, the courtroom scene lets you scratch your head. We say this mostly because of Jose Carioca, a character. However, in a previously lesser-known movie by Disney, Saludos Amigos published in 1942, this bird appeared.

The Writing Says It All

Mulan is a masterpiece, yet we missed some portions of the film as kids. We understood that Mulan was a great lady, but we didn’t know the commentary about gender roles in this movie. We also missed that. This was something. A tomb in the background is covered with writing in this scene. If you have seen the movie already, you know that when this writing is translated it is just movie credits. This provides an excellent and intelligent way to recognize the filmmakers.

Mickey Rocking Out In The Pit

Mickey Mouse most often appears in very subtle ways in Disney films. This person is much less subtle than many others, yet the first time we saw A Goofy Movie he still sneaked past us. At the Powerline concert in the film, the camera cuts the audience, showing people rocking and loving the music. Mickey Mouse is an exceptional character among the unidentified characters and he is the one to dance. He even isn’t trying to hide, but still fuses to be a struggle.

We want to Watch Those Movies

The film did a terrific job, combining child-friendly humor and gags that really were only for adults. Zootopia was completely amusing. Thus, for example, while youngsters were probably amused by the excruciatingly slow DMV sloths, adults who had previously treated DMV staff were hilarious. Another hilarious element that some grownups took up was when animal-themed adaptations of Disney’s films were aired. Although placed in the forest with plenty of animals, every masterpiece in the film is based, as you may assume, around animals in the context of the place.

A Story About Bugs’ Lives In Toy Story

In their new movies, Disney likes to nod to its earlier movies, and Pixar movies follow suit. Toy Story is a wonderfully lovely movie, but as you start to pay attention to the finer ones it gets much better. For instance, in this scene, Mrs. Potato Head reads a book. This isn’t particularly striking, doesn’t it? Take a closer look, certainly. At the moment she read a book that seems disturbingly similar to some ants. It’s right; they’re the ants of A Bug’s Life!

Pinch Us; We Must Be Dreaming!

Handful Disney characters can make us chuckle as much as Aladdin’s Genie. The voice playing was great, and no matter how awful the scenario, he never could throw a clever phrase into one scene. But there were moments, of course, when instead of with him, we laughed at him! In this amusing scene, Genie gets his finger pinned by a crab. But hold on to a second, it’s not a crab that pins him. The Little Mermaid of Ariel’s Sebastian! How did he finish up…?

Some Of Our Favorite Characters Hanging Out Under The Sea

Speaking of The Little Mermaid, in this film, there is a well-hidden, most of us would have missed if it had not been for the labor of the sleuths of Disney on the internet. If you look closely at this image, Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Duck all hang under the waves and the others. We don’t know how long they’re going to deal with being overwhelmed, but hey, that’s a cartoon. Everything’s a good time, not a realistic time! For sneaking this in, the animators deserve kudos.

The Rock Joke

Good old Hei-Hei, Moana’s fun, and relatively weak-willed coaster, always has unusual things to offer. One is going to chew rocks if he gets the chance. At some point, he tries to pull down Maui’s finger. This is not only a funny film scene; it is also a smart phrase. Because Maui is expressed in the original English language version of Moana by none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson…

A Nod To Jurassic Park

The whole Toy Story franchise was covered with Easter eggs, however, some of them are not linked to Disney’s film. Sadly, the vast majority of us know this scene all too well. In the first film of Jurassic Park (and most memorable), the T-Rex chases the automobile and in the mirror on the side, we glimpse the terrible dinosaur. It is an iconic frame, particularly if “things in mirror are closer than those which appear” in combination with the warning text. In Toy Story 2, albeit with the less terrifying Rex, it has been repeated.

Really Dark, Disney

The artists who work for Disney might produce children’s films for a lifetime, but they don’t offer any other sophisticated comedy a chance occasionally. Take this dark joke, which undoubtedly passed totally over your children’s heads in 1933, when the animated Three Little Pigs was broadcasted initially. Every photo represents the mother of the young piglets as a sow. But dear old father, he was always a sausage, or a pork cut, never a pig alive…

Andy’s Red String

The greater the number of Toy Story films, the more impressed we are. The plots and characters are not only great but also the designers are masters of continuity. You don’t ignore the last aspects of the installment. Remember how the arm of Andy’s Toy Story 2 was ripped off? The crimson string he used to fix is still evident in Toy Story 4, producing a scar version of the toy. So Pixar and Disney did a great job again.

Nala’s Fight Maneuver Saved The Day

Contemporary Disney movies such as Tangled, Frozen, and Moana deal with the empowerment of women. It has been a long time since the days of the women leading a princess in distress. Even older Disney films, however, include some really inspiring and powerful female characters. Like Nala of the Lion King. She’s the best buddy of Simba, and she’s as curious, smart, and courageous as he is when they are young. But she is also the warrior that is more capable. She is actually the one who teaches Simba how to ultimately help Scar to overthrow.

Tim Allen Nod In Toy Story

Have you ever taken care of the names of the Sid toys used in Toy Story? After all, it was not selected randomly. It says “Binford,” a smart, concealed reference on the toolbox. Naturally, Tim Allen is the actor that gives Buzz Lightyear’s voice.

Rapunzel Visiting Anna

Even though we’ve all seen Frozen a million times, even the most avid re-watcher might miss this fact. When Arendelle’s gates open after being closed for so long, Anna can barely control her joy. This is demonstrated in her solo For The First Time In Forever, in which a wave of interested visitors gathers for Elsa’s coronation day. For a brief period, Rapunzel can be glimpsed among the crowd. It’s only natural for her to be friends with Elsa and Anna.

The Frozen/Moana Sisterhood

Frozen and Moana are in some respects quite different, but they have a lot in common. They occur in two quite distinct climates and cultures. They are, nonetheless, powerful, brave women, who encounter major barriers in the whole movie. So the 2016 movie Moana includes a tribute to the great sister Frozen is not surprising. Moana’s father shows her a tapestry portraying a horrible-looking creature during the traditional and history lectures of her family. And it’s a Marshmallow snow monster from the Frozen movie.
