Polish Dogs

It was a rude awakening for all of us. Costco got rid of its Polish dogs in 2018 to make room for more healthy food court menu options. Customers were outraged by the decision, and they took to Twitter to protest using the hashtag #SaveThePolishDog. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain, and Polish dogs remain off the menu. Friends, don’t worry. The regular, all-beef frankfurter is still available, and Costco’s $1.50 hot dog and soda combo aren’t going away anytime soon.

Kirkland Signature Light Beer

Costco stopped producing Kirkland Signature Light Beer in 2018, for better or worse. The 48-packs cost $22, which works out to less than 50 cents per can. While the beer had a cult following among budget-conscious partygoers, it was not without its detractors. The brew’s aroma has been compared to a “urine-soaked diaper sitting on a piping-hot radiator” by one RateBeer reviewer. With that kind of feedback, it’s no surprise Costco didn’t keep it. Although the light beers are no longer available, a $20 craft-brewed variety pack with pale, blonde, brown, and India pale ales may still be available.
