When he went to get it the next day, he discovered that it had been frozen solid! When Francis Epperson grew up, he took it throughout the world and introduced it to everyone. As a result, he sold the rights to Joe Lowe in 1925, and the film was a huge smash immediately. He expressed regret for his decision and even said that “I haven’t been the same person since.” The popsicle was acquired by Good Humor, a previous competitor company, in 1989, when it was still a division of Unilever.
