Lou Thesz
Aloysius Martin “Lou” Thesz is famous for being a fourteen-time world champion, he held the NWA Heavyweight Championship three times, for a combined total of 10 years, three months, and nine days (3,749 days) – longer than anyone else in history. He also pioneered a variety of moves such as the STG, Thesz Press, and the German Suplex. Without him, we wouldn’t know what would be the current case of modern wrestling.
Terry Funk
Like Lou Thesz, Terry is also known to be one of the longest competitors in the industry. At the age of 72, he would still join matches to fight a variety of wrestlers in the league, and would not retire until he is satisfied. He helped aid the ECW to get back to its former glory when it was out from NWA in 1994.
