Phoebe Cates
Most people remember Phoebe Cates for playing the character Linda Barrett in what has become a cult classic, the 1982 coming-of-age movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. After working on the film, she went on to make appearances in several movies in the ’80s and ’90s. Her last film was the critically acclaimed 2001 comedy-drama The Anniversary Party, which was co-starring, co-written, co-directed, and co-produced by Alan Cumming and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Cates and her husband, actor Kevin Kline, met at an audition back in 1983, though they only dated two years later. In 1989, they tied the knot. The couple lives in New York City, where they also raised their two children. In the 2001 film The Anniversary Party, the children made an appearance together with their parents. Their son Owen was in the 2005 movie The Squid and the Whale, while Greta pursued a career in music, going by the stage name Frankie Cosmos. As for Cates, she opened her own boutique in 2005 and named it Blue Tree.
