Portman started acting when she was just a child. She played roles in films and on Broadway, though she only became a household name when she portrayed Padme Amidala in the blockbuster hit Star Wars The Phantom Menace. She graduated from Harvard with a degree in psychology, and she accomplished this while she was filming for Star Wars Episodes I, II & III.
