As a student, there are many things you need to know about. Aside from understanding class-related matters, there are basic life skills everyone should have. We’re talking about things like cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and, of course, laundry. While it might not be too complicated operating a washing machine, what is complicated is all the rest. For instance, getting tough stains out or ensuring all your clothes are presentable and not creased and full of wrinkles. Lucky for you, we’ve gathered some excellent laundry hacks you can start using.

Get Rid Of Creases
One annoying thing about hanging up your clothes to dry is those creases that develop from the drying rack. You know what it’s like. Well, there’s an easy and affordable hack to solve this problem. Before hanging anything up, get a pool noodle you don’t need and cut it along its side. Then, slide it onto the rack and hang up your clothes as usual! They’ll be crease-free.
Grease Stains
If you get an article of clothing stained with something greasy, don’t worry, not all is lost. You just need to pretreat it before putting it in the washing machine. Sprinkle a little baking soda on the stain and then a few drops of white vinegar. Allow it to sit for a bit and then wash it as you usually would.
Organize Socks
It’s easy to lose track of socks you put in the wash. Somehow, no matter how careful you are, one or two socks disappear without a trace. So, to avoid such a situation, use a mesh bag for all your socks. All you need to do is place all your socks in the mesh bag and toss the whole thing in the washing machine. You’ll never lose another sock again!
Get Rid Of Sticky Stains
It happens occasionally; you notice something sticky on a clothing item that you didn’t notice earlier. Luckily, there’s an easy way to treat it and get rid of it. All this method requires is some ice cubes. Just leave the ice cubes on top of the sticky mess for several minutes. After that, you’ll be able to easily peel the gunk off once it’s hardened.
Pre-Soak Smelly Clothes
There are times when you had a great gym session, but then you have clothes that smell absolutely awful. Before putting them in the wash, soak them in half a cup of white vinegar mixed with cold water for at least an hour. This helps remove any unpleasant odors and also break down sweat stains and buildup. Just make sure not to machine-dry these clothes.
Iron Small Areas
When you’re in a rush or just need to iron a small part of a garment, it’s no use pulling out the ironing board and starting with that whole ordeal. Instead, grab your hair iron and put it to good use. It makes the perfect iron for any small areas on clothes like in between buttons or thin hems. Just be careful and make sure the iron is completely clean and dry before using it on your clothes.
