John Travolta Then
John Travolta got his start on television on the classic sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. Travolta’s success, however, is largely due to the 1970s mega-hits Saturday Night Fever and Grease. He was youthful, personable, and had a one-of-a-kind talent to dance. His posters adorned the walls of millions of young girls. He looked to have everything figured out. Unfortunately, his acting career took a big knock in the 1980s when he couldn’t seem to get a leading role. Even when he did, the films vanished into thin air. Then, fortunately, Travolta’s roles started to resurface.

Some say he’s gone from a heartthrob to a hunk of desire. Although John’s career was revitalized in the 1990s due to his presence in 1994’s Pulp Fiction, things have not gone well for him in the appearance area. As we all do from time to time, he seems to have gained weight and lost hair. John has been roundly criticized for his appearance in the media, illustrating that equality works both ways. He’s even tried to dispute that he had a love relationship with his former pilot, Douglas Gotterba.
