Back at the start of this year, Simon Cowell revealed that he lost about 20 pounds in an effort to be healthier overall. Ever since then, he’s said he feels healthier and stronger. The reason he decided to switch up his lifestyle is because of an incident in 2017. He had fainted and fell down the stairs in his house due to low blood pressure. To take a healthier route, the celeb cut out dairy, wheat, sugar, and turned to veganism. “I cut out a lot of the stuff I shouldn’t have been eating and that was primarily meat, dairy, wheat, sugar—those were the four main things,” he said in an interview.

He posted to his Instagram, saying, “Breaking the pattern. 50lbs down today from my height in early June when I decided to reclaim my health after my mom died (70lbs down from my all-time),” he said. “I will always be a work in progress. I may mess up again. I dunno. All I know is that I’m very grateful. And very happy. On we go… .”
