Burning It All
He realized he was in trouble as the scent crept down his throat and irritated his nostrils. He began to think that lighting a fire was his only choice. However, whatever was to be changed had to be done right away — before anyone got injured. With every fiber of his being, he hoped that no officials would come.

Burning It All
What’s The Catch?
The owner built the log cabin on a 30-acre plot with an apple tree and its own water supply. With any creativity, Tony might transform the cabin into a self-sustaining woodland paradise. Yet, he couldn’t help but believe it was all too real. What made it so cheap?

What’s The Catch?
It Was Just The Beginning
Tony discovered after some searching that the former landlord had recently lost his wife and that he was trying to get rid of the property as soon as possible so that he could retire to Florida. Tony, on the other side, has no intention of stopping there. The first thing he wanted to do was make sure the old building was still in good condition. There was also an unusual entry point in the center of the kitchen floor. Tony, on the other hand, had just touched the surface with everything he had found.

It Was Sealed Tightly
For some strange explanation, the trapdoor in the kitchen was pinned shut with thick nails. It was also strangely attached shut with some industrial adhesive. Tony sent a repairman to inquire, and even he was surprised. After much screaming and heaving, they ripped it open. The stink then attacked them.

It Was Sealed Tightly
An Awful Smell
The odor from inside the door could cause them to recoil and gag. Whatever it was, it was enough to make Tony puke all over himself. What might have created such an unpleasant odor down there? It had the aroma of… No, it does not. It isn’t true. Tony couldn’t stop thinking about the former owner’s recently dead wife.

An Awful Smell
Below The Ground
Tony and the repairman slipped their heads and flashlights cautiously through the opening in the concrete. Tony was taken aback when he heard a sharp gasp. Tony’s mechanic yanked him back by the neck. The man’s face had turned white as he cried, “Get out of there!” Tony glanced in, catching his breath when two legs appeared.

Spiders Crawling Out
Six more spiders slithered out. They are, though, not just some spiders; they are poisonous funnel-weavers. They swarmed out of a huge nest underneath the pit. Tony and the repairman started stomping on everything that threatened to escape and smashed the trapdoor shut, thinking they were liable for a painful bite that might destroy human flesh. But, unfortunately, this was just the beginning of their nightmare.

Even after they had discharged the nest and it was finally “open” to check further in, there was still the problem of the foul odor. One rung at a time, they cautiously ascended the crumbling, rusted ladder to the underground location underneath the cottage. The solution was just around the corner. But, unfortunately, it was oozing as well.

It Was Indeed A Nightmare
Broad, ruddy strands sprouted around the sides of a concrete enclosure resembling a cistern or a rock bathtub. Within, the stringy mixing was slick and gleaming, with an odd rainbow glow running across it. Tony wanted to do everything he had to avoid being sick. It was repulsive. And he saw something protruding from the abomination. It was discovered to be a skull.

A Relief
The mechanic let out a breath. “Stupid raccoons,” he grumbled. Tony, on the other side, was finally able to relax. It was the foulest odor he’d ever seen, so at least he didn’t have to call the cops. So what was the role of the secret room? That was the first time he’d seen something like it.

A Storage Space?
As the unappealing clean-up started, the two men speculated. Isn’t it possible that it was a traditional storage facility? Perhaps a bunker or a location to clean up after a hunt? A tiny break in the stone, filled with ash and decaying wood, contributed to the oddity. There was, however, no chimney or other way of venting the smoke. Then they discovered something much stranger.

A Storage Space?
Inside The Attic
Back inside, the repairman found that the house had a huge A-frame on one side of the roof that was far higher than the other, but the low-ceilinged rooms inside couldn’t accommodate all that extra space. He examined the walls, starting to suspect that there could be some storage space up there before he discovered a trap door. Then, with a light tug on a tiny metal loop, an old staircase came down, drizzling pink shielding and dust all around. And what he and Tony saw inside when they peered inside couldn’t be believed.

Inside The Attic
2 Houses In One
Despite the fiberglass insulation halfway down the attic, a wall with a door stood unusually. Even worse, there was a roof, but the attic totally obscured it. Tony’s heart couldn’t bear it any longer. What else will they find inside his house?

What A Strange Set Up
Tony was forced to rely on his flashlight once more because there was no electricity in the attic. They stepped carefully onto the concrete, the odor of years of dust filling their nasal passages. The deep darkness and warm air hung over Tony like a blanket, lifting the hairs on his forehead. He’d discovered something that seems to be from a horror picture.

Why hadn’t the previous owner informed him about all of this? And who used to live in this house? To find out, they had to take one unsteady turn after another. Tony was plagued by another nagging thought in the back of his mind: who was really staying here? Finally, he was greeted with a sight he’ll never forget in the light source of his flashlight with a gentle kick of his foot.

Decaying Room
As if the attic apartment was shedding its flesh, ripping wallpaper in pea green and pastel pink cleaved mysteriously off the walls. With each move, odors of mold, dust, and rat nests grew from the floor. They had their t-shirts pulled high around their shoulders. They had to be careful not to inhale any insulation fragments, let alone the dangerous mold spores there.

Decaying Room
Not Just One But Three
The strange, self-contained apartment had three rooms, Tony and the carpenter deduced. There was no furniture remaining save for an antique refrigerator. Other evidence that these spaces had been used as living quarters was strewn around, like an old hat and a tire that had been discarded and missing for who knows how long. There was even a restroom…

Spooky
In the shower, there is also a restroom and a drain. So it appeared and was plumbed through the main house’s main water and sewage pipes. But why did he have a spooky house inside his house? Tony returned to Reddit when he was left with more doubts than responses. Any of the comments, though, did nothing to convince him of what he’d learned.

What’s The Reason Behind This?
When the pictures were posted on Reddit, users were rightly alarmed. “I’m selling my house. “Price reduced thanks to large nope in the attic,” one laughed. “I didn’t want to be the first to tell it,” another person commented, “but it reminds me of the scary tales of where people have family members locked up.” Another keen analyst had a theory.

How Could It Happen?
“How could anything like this happen? I went through all of his photos and it seems that the floor is coated with insulation…” he wrote after going through all of his photos. “Does that suggest that all of the insulation you see is really his roof with insulation on top? Did OP have to climb up on rafters to get up there? ” “It seems that they installed a roof and an extension. Much as though they constructed a whole shell (roof and walls) around the initial house and then wanted to only keep going and expand.” Tony, on the other side, was hoping for more direct answers.

Totally Clueless
Tony also went so far as to ask the previous occupant about the cellar and attic. He just claimed, “They’ve always been there.” The enigmatic rooms were particularly vexing. However, he wished that somebody on the internet might be willing to assist him. The comments flooded in, but they were more amusing than useful.

Turning It To Something Else
Tony promised to keep everyone updated on his efforts to transform the “hell place” underneath the house into something useful. A cold-storage space for winter vegetables proved to be the champion. So there was one last thing he ought to do before reintroducing a single potato.

Cleaning It All Up
He loaded up on bleach and other cleaning supplies, in addition to spraying the entire space with spider-killing spray. But, of course, if he wanted to put food down there, he had first to get rid of the slimy layer of decomposing roots and years of watery rust. And what about the rest of the house, which is housed in the attic?

A Total Make-Over
Aside from the weirdo element, a few Reddit users proposed Tony convert the room into something useful – his own private “speakeasy.” First, I’d have to check to see if the walls are moldy, and I’m sure the plumbing and wires ought to be redone,” Tony wrote on Reddit.
