She thought Jenna was being very evasive and hazy. Cheri watched Jenna’s eyes expand when she mentioned Jason’s name, so perhaps there was something she was concealing. She must have somehow touched a nerve. That wasn’t a typical response. Cheri still had work to do. She would next confront her own spouse and hear his side of the story.

No matter how terrible it might be, she had to know the truth. The house was unusually silent when she got home.
