That fateful evening, when Jason finally got home, Cheri questioned him with the receipt. Jason was so astonished that he couldn’t believe it, and he vehemently denied having the foggiest idea of what she was talking about. He asserted that he had not left any inflated tips for Jenna or anyone else for that matter. She was perplexed and simultaneously relieved, not knowing what to believe. He was taken aback by her charge, and he immediately denied knowing anything about what she was talking about. Cheri refused to believe that her devoted husband would ever dare to lie to her and could not, but her sea of uncertainties persisted and plagued her every waking hour.

Cheri went back to the Starbucks and walked up to Jenna’s drive-through window to look into it more. She closely observed her before turning to the other. “So unreal!” she screamed, slamming on the brakes. How could she be in such pain because of a complete stranger? She summoned all her bravery and made her move to question the young waitress about the charges to her credit account.
