Jennifer Lacy
The fact that Jennifer Lacy chose to pursue a sporting career will come as no surprise when you check her family tree. Since Lee Lacy, her father, once played in Major League Baseball, his athletic prowess has been coursing through her blood. However, Lacy chose to go into basketball, and even joined the WNBA back in 2006. After several years of her professional career, she decided to play for Beijing Shougang in China. Since 2015, however, she has been a free agent.

As she plays a sport for a rather underdog nation, Winifer Fernandez is not unlike most individuals on the list. We are sure that the Dominican Republic will be happy to have her on the volleyball team! Since 2012, she has represented the Caribbean nation and captured many hearts with her incredible performance during Brazil’s 2016 Olympics. She might not have led the team to victory, but she is nevertheless a national hero! During the 2017 Bolivarian Games she helped the team in placing gold.
