Marty understood that he had to learn more about these two young men before he could trust them. He didn’t know exactly where they were staying, and neither did George. His sons had only spoken to him in hushed tones about their possible inheritance. That afternoon, Marty called George to let him know he’d be back, and he asked George to call his sons to come to see him. He made it seem like a straightforward strategy.

They’ll Be Arrested
His plan, as he explained it to George, was to be present when the boys arrived and inform them that they were under arrest. However, they would only be kidding and using it as a teaching tool for the boys. George was enthusiastically on board with the idea. But he had no idea that Marty was just trying to hide his true motives behind this. If his suspicions about these young men were correct, he would likely have to make real arrests of them.
