However, in 2017, an exclusive Daily Mail online stated to even have questioned Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, Zahara’s birth mother. She informed the British newspaper that as she was conceived through rape, she had put Zahara up for adoption. “Angelina was more of a mother to her than I have ever been,” Lebiso mentioned during the interview. “Since she was a baby, she has been with her, but that doesn’t mean I don’t miss her,” she added.
