For every person to have a baby is a beautiful honor. In marked contradiction, however, one feels disappointment and despair as they fall prey to fertility issues. While infertility is internationally acknowledged as a dilemma for individuals and couples, it is less widely known that trauma is affecting their families. Most families facing infertility grow closer and find ways to provide support, compassion, and understanding during deep loss and despair. This is a story about a couple who never imagined they would even be parents, but the unthinkable happened.
Meet The Parents
Bobbi and Kenny McCaughey became mothers and fathers in 1996. They knew that their daughter was a miracle baby because Bobbi was born with a fertility-affected disease-a malfunctioning pituitary gland. The birth of Mikayla Marie greatly influenced them to try and get pregnant again.
