Leslie arrived in front of the doctor’s office exactly two hours later. And she was surprised to discover that her husband was nowhere to be found. Leslie reasoned that the appointment might have gone over, so she decided to wait. She texted him half an hour after she arrived. But she never received a response.

She sat in that waiting room for over an hour, reading their magazines to pass the time while waiting for her husband’s appointment to end. She was concerned in the back of her mind. What was the situation? Why were they taking so long to assist her husband? She eventually approached the receptionist. When she inquired about what was going on, the woman informed her that Jacob had not arrived for his appointment.
