Have you ever seen a carpet the size of a soccer field? In fact, the Iran Carpet Company produced such a carpet in 2007. The world’s biggest hand-woven carpet was created for a mosque in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The carpet had to be constructed from nine separate pieces before it could be used inside the mosque. It is 60,600.81 ft2 (5,630 m2) in size, although it was once much larger. Some components had to be removed in order for the carpet to fit properly on the floor.

For a long time, Iran was known as Persia. However, in 1935, a significant change occurred, and the nation acquired its current name, Iran.
