Although Rhonda Fleming got her big break with Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound, she probably made about forty films throughout her career. They called her the “Queen of Technicolor” for her ghostly teint and flammable red hair because it made her look interesting when Technicolor was the normal way to make movies. She started doing charitable work after she finished her acting career, and focused more on health and medical insurance. In 1991, together with her husband Ted Mann, she founded Rhonda Fleming Mann’s Clinic for Women’s Comprehensive Care at the UCLA Medical Center.
