Going Deep
Steven then turned off the path and headed deeper into the woodland. Jessica wasn’t very happy about this because she knew how exhausting it would be to go through the forest like that. She needed to maneuver through the dense shrubs without tripping over any roots while keeping an eye on Steven. She also needed to walk slowly to avoid any sharp noise that could bring the attention to her area.

Jessica was astounded that Steven was so aware of his surroundings. By this point, they had arrived at a section of the forest where there were no signs of any kind of route and it appeared like no person had ever set foot there. He simply kept walking without pausing to search for the path or navigate. Where the hell were they going? She had no idea where he was directing her.
