Arguably, Hagrid’s popularity goes beyond the Potter books. The kindly half-giant was portrayed perfectly on-screen by Robbie Coltrane. However, in 2009, the British star revealed that he could hardly recognize himself after he transformed into the big wizard with the help of the makeup team. “Good God, who’s that?” was his reaction when he saw his reflection for the first time. Although Aunt Marge wasn’t really a major character in the Potterverse, fans will remember her as the woman who insulted Harry and was turned into a balloon. Since the films, actress Pam Ferris has been busy with various TV shows – most notably Call the Midwife, where she played Sister Evangelina. Her other link to fantasy was portraying Mrs. Faulkner in the 2019 film Tolkien, about the author of Lord of the Rings.
