Joan Taylor finally came up with several conclusions based on the examination of various relics and evidence. According to her, historical painters were correct about their depictions of Jesus having a long beard, as she realized that Jesus travelled place to place for a long time, which explains the growth of facial hair, for they do not possess anything to clean-shave their faces while traveling. She also believes that this may also be the explanation as to why Moses is also depicted with a large beard in other paintings.
