While Hells Angels patches have a deep meaning, not all of them represent honor in the traditional sense. Aside from the famous emblem and charter name, members can acquire additional patches over time, each linked to certain activities or reputations. These are not given out lightly. The “Dequiallo” patch, for example, is designated for persons who have used violence against police officers while or after being arrested. Then there’s the scary “Filthy Few,” worn exclusively by those who’ve proven—or pledged—that they’ll go to any length, no matter how severe, to support the club.
